With an automatic bid into the Postseason Women’s NIT, the Skyhawks’ earned their seventh postseason berth in the past eight years, joining four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances from 2011-14 and a pair of Women’s NIT berths in 2015 and 2016. The Skyhawks’ recent success is unprecedented after notching just one previous postseason berth in the program’s Division I history (in 1999).
